SIMON JAMES

Chair of Governors

Simon has over 30 years’ experience in secondary education, 20 years of those in a senior leadership role. He had oversight of various areas of school development including Teaching and Learning, and as Professional Tutor would lead Teacher development. Simon has been a school governor previously.

For the past 10 years Simon has been an Associate Lecturer at Chichester University working with International school leaders from China and South Korea.

KEVIN MORELL

Governor

Kevin has over 15 years’ experience in residential care work.  He has become a specialist in working with children with trauma and complex needs.  His previous children’s home was Ofsted rated Outstanding in every category in 2018.  Since Jan 2019 Kevin became a Senior Home Manager and is currently setting up a new children’s home near Fareham.

Kevin is a consultant behaviour specialist and trains school and care staff in the effective management of challenging behaviour.

Kevin has many years’ experience as a school governor within several special schools.

ANDREW CLARK

Governor

Since graduating, Andrew has 10 years’ experience working within the public sector, local authorities, the NHS, and Higher Education.  Andrew has developed expertise in financial management, business development, income generation and communications. He has recently launched his own charity consulting business.

Andrew and his wife have recently adopted 2 children.  They are keen to encourage and train potential foster carers and adopters.

BELINDA MEDHURST

Governor

Belinda is a consultant Educational Psychologist who worked for Hampshire and Suffolk County Council’s Psychology Teams for almost 10 years.  She has been a consultant psychologist since 2006 gaining a wealth of experience working with many children in a number of schools.  Belinda has been a governor of a local Primary School for the last few years.
